Rainbow Six Siege New Season Patch Notes and Operation Brutal Swarm Server Downtime | Games | Entertainment

Rainbow Six Siege fans are counting down to the start of an all-new season, as Operation Brutal Swarm drops to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Kicking off Year 7 Season 3, Brutal Swarm has a release date of September 6th. Unfortunately, fans will have to go through a period of server downtime before the update is available. Downtime varies by platform, so read on for timings, patch notes, file sizes and more.

Rainbow Six Siege will go offline for one hour at 2pm BST UK time on PC, followed by one hour at 3pm BST on Xbox devices. Finally, Rainbow Six Siege goes offline at 4 p.m. on PS4 and PS5.

The update weighs in at 30GB on Xbox One, 33GB on Xbox Series S/X, 59GB on PS4, and 33GB on PS5. On PC, the base update is around 45 GB.

In terms of new content, the main feature is the addition of a new Operator, Singaporean striker Grim.

Grim launches with a new gadget called Kawan Hive Launcher, which allows for information gathering and area denial. Best of all, it has no reloads and a low rate of fire.

Elsewhere, Stadium is now a permanent map, the Impact EMP grenade is joining the game, and there’s a new abusive language penalty system.

This is in addition to all the usual balance changes, bug fixes, and gameplay tweaks, which you can see in the patch notes below.
