Well that was an entertaining romp - thanks for your company.
Rory McIlroy looks in the mood, but so does Rickie Fowler, so we could have quite the shootout tomorrow.
And don't discount Scottie Scheffler after that ridiculous eagle on 17.
We're expecting earlier tee times tomorrow so we should be open for business about 21:30 BST.
Join us then.
How it stands
-10 Fowler, Clark
-9 McIlroy
-7 Scheffler
-6 English
-5 Schauffele, D Johnson
'Golf course definitely got a little bit trickier'
McIlroy -9 (69)
Rory McIlroy after his third round of one under par leaves him a shot behind Rickie Fowler: "I feel pretty good. The golf course definitely got a little bit trickier today than the first couple of days but I felt like I played really smart, solid golf. I hit a lot of fairways, hit a lot of greens.
"It felt somewhat stress free out there - if you can ever call golf at a US Open stress free.
"Overall, I am pretty pleased with how today went, and feel like I'm in a good spot heading into tomorrow."
On the course: "I think it's felt like a US Open all week. The scoring was surprisingly low over the first couple of days, but it doesn't look or feel like any of the other three major championships.
"The US Open has definitely got its own identity, and that identity was pretty strong from the opening tee shot on Thursday."
'Absolutely sick'
Fowler -10 (70)
Zane Scotland
Former European Tour player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra
You could see in Fowler's face he was absolutely sick with that one.
All that hard work and that tiny lapse of concentration at the end of the day for the last putt.
Fowler will be absolutely sick about that.
We're tied at the top!

Wow! It's a two shot swing on the very last green as Clark knocks in a birdie while Fowler misses a short par putt and ends up with a bogey.
Clark converts his putt from that stunning approach - just after Fowler had so nearly holed another huge putt from 40 feet away.
Fowler then looks to tidy up from a couple of feet away but the ball lips out as Fowler slips out of the outright lead.
Pin shot!
Fowler -11, Clark -9 (17)
Clark responds to the bogey on 17 with a wonderful approach to the 18th from 170 yards out which bounces and cannons off the flagstick and settles six feet away for a great look at birdie.
'The story of his round'
McIlroy -9 (69)
Iain Carter
BBC golf correspondent at the Los Angeles Country Club
That has been the story of Rory McIlroy's round.
He has hit 15 of the 18 greens in regulation and has romped ahead of the field in terms of his driving.
But he has lost ground on the greens.

McIlroy -9 (69)
After that round, Rory McIlroy could well be in the finalgrouping with Rickie Fowler and it would be fascinating to see those two slug itout.
McIlroy has been the best off the tee today, gaining two-and-a-halfstrokes as well as a further one-and-a-half with his short game.
His putter was cold though, one shot lost as opposed to thethree shots he gained in round one.
He’s shown he’s got the game to master this course.
Can he put it all together tomorrow?

Fowler leads by two
Fowler -11, Clark -9 (17)
Clark rolls in his bogey putt to limit the damage, which would surely have been greater had he tried to play out of that hazard.
Fowler makes a solid par to stretch his lead to two shots now.

McIlroy closes with par
McIlroy -9 (69), Schauffele -5 (73)
A final long putt of the round for Rory McIlroy and he sendsit in tight. Well judged and close again for the Northern Irishman.
If he can just nail his approach shots a touch closertomorrow…
Credit too for Xander Schauffele who has really dug in today.
He’s been all over the place off the tee and some of thosedrives would have sent lesser players tumbling down the leaderboard.
It’s a very frustrating round of three over – but it couldhave been a lot lot worse.
Clark takes a drop
Fowler -11, Clark -10 (16)
Smart play this from Clark who doesn't even think about trying to hit out of the hazard that's full of rough, scrub and rocks, so takes a drop from where the ball crossed into it.
It's on the short stuff on top of a mound by the green and Clark stabs at it with a wedge to try to get a bit of check on the ball - and it stops about six feet from the flag.

McIlroy -9 (17)
Iron in hand, Rory McIlroy slings his approach onto the 18th green and his ball lands in a similar position to where Scottie Scheffler and Cam Smith made their birdies half an hour ago.
Has he seen the footage??
I guess not and he looks a bit disappointed with himself as he hands caddie Harry Diamond his club and heads off after his ball.
Scheffler first in two decades

With that two on 17, Scottie Scheffler became the first player in 20 years to make an eagle on the hardest hole of a US Open.
The last time was in 2003 at Olympia Fields when bizarrely three players managed it on the par-four 12th.
Tom Watson eagled it in the first round, Jerry Kelly in the second round and Angel Cabrera in the third round.
Oh no!
Fowler -11, Clark -10 (16)
"Sit, sit, sit," pleads Clark but his ball isn't listening, they never do!
He's flown his approach from the fairway too far and it bounces off the edge of the 17th green and into some nasty rough and stones that guard the green.
That could be trouble.
Bogey finish for English
English -6 (71), D Johnson -5 (71)

It's fair to say Harris English has not enjoyed this back nine. Three bogeys in four holes from the 11th halted his momentum and he's now played an air-shot on the 18th.
His ball was in the collar of rough surrounding the green and he did exactly what Rory McIlroy did in round one, failing to connect with his ball and leaving it buried.
A second stab sees the ball emerge but that was for par and he's dropping at least one.
Dustin Johnson is for par but a one-over 71 is not what he would have wanted.
English tidies up his bogey putt.

McIlroy -9 (17)
Rory McIlroy's final drive of the day is much like most of his others. Textbook.
Can he finish in style on the 18th?
Another bogey for Schauffele
McIlroy -9, Schauffele -5 (17)
Rory McIlroy has played the 17th sensibly.
He fires his second shot into the green, way left of theflag but in a handy position to two putt.
No point being reckless when you’re only two shots back.
As it is, he goes very close with his putt from range andcleans up for par.
Rinse and repeat for Xander Schauffele.
Errant tee shot, trouble with his second, an attempt to get out of jail with his third.
Unfortunatelyhis putter isn’t able to rescue him and it’s a bogey.

Fowler -11, Clark -10 (16)
We've lost a lot more daylight waiting for Wyndham Clark to hit his 16-foot putt on 16, but after taking an age he can't make it as the ball settles just on the edge.
Two pars for our leaders.
'It will take a special round to win'
Scheffler -7 (68)
Scottie Scheffler to Sky Sports after closing round three on seven under par: "I'm really satisfied. Par on the front nine was not bad but I wanted to pick up shots to put myself in with a chance. After bogeying the 16th, it didn't look like I had much of one!"It was nice boost to see the shot at 17 go in. It went barely left of where I wanted and people started standing up. I hoped they they were getting up for it and fortunately, it went in. It was a great break at a nice time."
On his chances of securing a maiden US Open: "I am excited for tomorrow. Obviously I wish I was a bit furtherup the leaderboard. I haven't hit at my best the past two days but I have been able to stay in the tournament.
"Hopefully I will get off to a hot start and just keep it rolling. It will take a special round if I want to get this thing done but I have put myself in a decent position."
Post update
Fowler -11, Clark -10 (15)
Both players absolutely smoke their drives on 16, and both of them also hit nice approaches. Fowler's got 17 feet left for birdie with Clark even closer.
